Your Therapist
Attia Altaf
UK-Certified Integrative Psychotherapist
Attia Altaf holds a Level 3 and Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy Counselling from CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, UK) — the same qualification standard as therapists practising in Britain. Her training spans Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and integrative approaches tailored to the South Asian cultural context.
With over 8 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families across Pakistan and the UK diaspora, Attia brings both clinical rigour and deep cultural understanding. She holds a PhD in Media and Communication Sciences, which informs her work with clients navigating identity, digital stress, and modern life pressures. Sessions are available in Urdu and English — because some feelings are simply easier to express in your mother tongue.
What to Expect in Your First Session
Many people feel nervous before their first therapy session. Here is exactly what happens — so you can come prepared, not anxious.
Booking
Message on WhatsApp. You will receive a brief intake form and a Zoom link — no app download required. Payment is confirmed before the session via EasyPaisa or bank transfer.
The Assessment
The first session is a conversation, not a test. Attia will ask what brought you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to change. You share only what you are comfortable sharing.
Your Plan
By the end of the first session, you will understand the recommended approach and what future sessions will look like. There is no pressure to commit to a long programme upfront.
Ongoing Work
Sessions are weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs. Progress is reviewed regularly. Everything discussed is strictly confidential — your privacy is fully protected.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does online therapy work in Pakistan?
Sessions are conducted via Zoom from wherever you are in Pakistan. After booking via WhatsApp, you receive a Zoom link and a brief intake form. Payment is made in advance via EasyPaisa or bank transfer. Sessions are 50 minutes, one-to-one, and fully confidential. No commute, no waiting room — therapy from your own space.
What happens in the first therapy session?
The first session is an assessment and conversation. Attia will ask about what brought you to therapy, your background, current challenges, and what you hope to gain. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with. By the end, you will have a clear idea of the approach recommended and what future sessions will look like.
Is online therapy confidential?
Yes — completely. Everything discussed in sessions is strictly confidential. Information is only ever shared in the rare circumstances required by law, such as a serious risk of harm. Your family, employer, or community will never be informed. Sessions are held in a private, secure environment.
Which conditions do you treat?
Anxiety, depression, OCD (including religious OCD / waswasa), trauma and PTSD, panic attacks, relationship and marriage difficulties, addiction and substance abuse, burnout, ADHD, teen counseling, career stress, grief, and low self-esteem. If you are unsure whether your situation fits, message on WhatsApp and ask — there is no obligation.
How do I pay for sessions?
Payment is made before each session via EasyPaisa or bank transfer. Sessions are PKR 5,000 for all session types (50 minutes). There are no subscription fees, no packages to buy, and no long-term commitments required.
